Education Level 4 Certificate

Overview

The TQUK Level4 in Education is designed to provide learners with key knowledge and understanding of historical perspectives on education through exploring policies, Acts of Parliament and reviewing their influence on present-day education. Learners will develop an understanding of statuary guidance for schools, including statuary documents necessary, the National Curriculum and Assessment, safeguarding and explore the diversity of needs learners have.

The course will also take learners through key theories of learning and development and how this can be used to improve provision, as well as helping learners understand their own learning and teaching.

This diploma also covers sociological perspectives of education, whereby, students will learn key debates within contemporary sociology of education and influence on education policy as well as inequalities of social injustice.

Course content

The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of education and other topics relevant to educational contexts. Areas covered include:

• Historical perspectives on education;

• Statutory guidance, legislation and policy for schools in England;

• Meeting diverse needs and protecting learners;

• Theories of learning and development and the impact on educational practices;

• Key debates within contemporary sociology of education and its influence on education policy;

• Equality and social justice in education;

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements however it is recommended that learners have a minimum of level three in related education qualification.

The qualification is suitable for learners of 18 years of age and above.

Course Delivery

The total qualification time for this qualification is 1200 hours.

There are 300 Guided Learning Hours which are made up of real time contact time, guidance or supervision by a tutor or trainer.

 

 

Course Fee

Face to Face Learning – £4995 + VAT

Face to Face learning takes a traditional approach to learning where our students will be attending regular taught sessions at an MKNCC Campus.

 Blended Learning – £2495 + VAT

The Blended learning route offers students a hybrid which combines our state of the art distance learning platform with intensive workshops.

 Distance Learning – £1995 + VAT

Distance Learning puts you in the driving seat, it gives you ultimate flexibility allowing you to manage your learning journey using our extensive online resources.

Duration

Learners are expected to complete this qualification between 6 and 8 months.

The total qualification time for this qualification is 1200 hours.

Assessment

The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subject to external quality assurance.

Where indicated in the unit specifications, the assessment must meet the requirements of the identified assessment strategy/principles.

Materials for internal assessment must be submitted to TQUK for approval prior to use and must be mapped to the relevant unit, learning outcome and assessment criteria.

All learning outcomes must be met to achieve a pass – there is no grading.
