Hurricane Awkward (Handling Difficult Situations) Workshop

What’s the course about?

This workshop aims to give you understanding, skills and confidence within handling difficult situations proactively, effectively and with sensitivity and respect. Whether you are breaking bad news, challenging someone’s behaviour, asserting your needs, establishing boundaries or raising something with your line manager, this course will offer strategies and opportunities to practice exactly that.

We will delve into possible difficult situations that might occur at work, e.g.

– Raising issues with the hierarchy

– Dismissal or underperforming staff

– Rude customers

– Conflict within the workplace

This workshop is open to anyone who wants to learn about how to handle difficult situations more effectively. It is particularly helpful for leaders and managers who may need to raise a variety of difficult issues with their teams.

Phil has been actively involved in training for over 30 years as a Trainer, Training Manager and Consultant. He has worked in the UK and abroad and has a demonstrable track record of success in the public and private sectors. For businesses such as British Gas, Royal Mail and Npower.

Phil has a Masters Degree in Education and Training, is Charter Institute of Personnel & Development qualified and has a Dip Trn Mgrs, Phil has worked with some of the UK’s most prestigious Business Schools over the years, including Ashridge and Roffey Park.
